“My name is Adjetey Sowah, and I am a handicraft producer. I was born in Accra. I am hardworking, disciplined, and above... all friendly. I was once married to a lady who died during birthing our daughter. The incident broke me, but seeing the beautiful daughter she gave me gives me joy. She is now all grown into a beautiful girl.
“I started creating at a young age. One thing I learned from my master is to be disciplined and save a lot. And that is how I grew in the business. I design a lot of masks for other Novica artisans as well. I make use of materials like wood, acrylic paint, polish, etc. I derive inspiration from other colleague’s works and from nature. My aim in this life is to be a famous artist in the art industry. When I heard of Novica, I thought it would take the whole world to join, but it is actually a free platform for all artisans. I am glad to have joined Novica.”
